B-Design3D has been a long-time partner of MAK, having built high-quality terrains for MAK customers from Israel to Australia in a wide variety of formats. Some of their older sample terrains are included in the MAK Data that we distribute, including a Middle Eastern Village and a Driving Town.
In recent years, B-Design3D has built up considerable expertise in configuring our procedural terrain generation system, in authoring content to drive our physically-based-rendering shader effects, and in combining the various terrain techniques supported by the MAK Earth terrain engine. Of particular note, B-Design3D has pioneered a new approach to generating long stretches of ultra-high-fidelity polygonal-mesh roads from vector networks (with centimeter-scale geometry for ruts and potholes), and embedding them seamlessly within MAK Earth’s dense procedurally-generated vegetation and land-use-driven terrain skin for the off-road areas. www.B-Design3D.com
